Accelerator helps startups to develop AI solutions within healthcare
Tieto has launched an initiative to support Swedish startups who want to develop new healthcare solutions by utilising AI. The purpose of the AI Accelerator Program is to help companies explore the possibilities of the latest technology and speed up the process from idea generation to functional services. The Swedish Innovation Agency Vinnova is co-financing the program, which gives participating entrepreneurs access to Tieto's technical platform, customer base, experts and business coaches.

Tieto delivers welfare tech to Nacka municipality
Tieto has signed an agreement with Swedish municipality Nacka to deliver digital solutions and tools that will improve everyday life for individuals and relatives within municipal healthcare. The agreement is the first of its kind in Sweden, as Tieto together with partners will deliver the technology as a service to Nacka municipality. The contract is for two years with an option to extend.

Data-driven businesses unit aims to bring AI to healthcare

Tieto is actively investigating new cutting-edge technologies, like AI and their opportunities in various sectors. In healthcare AI can be utilised to get human centric and data-driven health and wellbeing services. To further strengthen its open partner ecosystem and presence in the Nordic healthcare sector, Tieto is joining the Microsoft AI in Health Partner Alliance. As part of its participation, Tieto will receive unique training and exclusive access to Microsoft technologies, engineering expertise and data sets.

Enhancing patient safety with digital health declarations

In collaboration with the Regional Development Council of Gävleborg (Region Gävleborg), Tieto has rolled out a solution for electronic health declarations to be filled out prior to surgery. The solution enhances the safety of patients while simultaneously relieving medical staff of time-consuming paperwork and is among the first in Sweden to use the national e-service, 1177 Vårdguiden in this way.

The future of patient data flow

The future of patient data flow
To pave the way for a future where data and records move seamlessly between different healthcare systems, different patient data management systems have been successfully tested at the OYS TestLab in Oulu, Finland. This included the seamless transition of information between the Oulu University Hospital’s Esko system, Tieto’s Lifecare database and CGI’s OMNI360 healthcare database.
